Courseway is operated by Grayworth, Inc. This policy covers courseway.app and its connected Courseway workspace, browser connector, and notification features.

Information Courseway processes

Your workspace can contain your account email, password hash, linked Google identity, assignments, course details, grades you enter, difficulty ratings, personal and imported attendance, calendar events, uploaded study materials, practice answers, and iClicker question images and responses. Connected sources contribute information only through the integrations you configure or use.

Connections and optional AI

Google sign-in uses your Google account identifier and verified email to recognize an existing authorized workspace account. It does not request Calendar or Gmail access. Separate Calendar and email-evidence connections use the permissions shown in their consent flows. Tokens are stored to maintain connections. A configured cloud browser may retain an authenticated provider session and encrypted credentials.

If you enable slide reading or request AI extraction or generation, selected images, documents, text, and relevant course context are sent to Google Gemini using your configured key. AI results can be inaccurate. These features are optional; provider processing is also governed by Google's terms and privacy information.

Purpose and providers

We process workspace information to display and synchronize your work, calculate planning suggestions, provide practice tools, deliver requested alerts, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service. Cloudflare provides hosting, database, storage, and security infrastructure. Connected education providers, Google, and your device's push service process information needed for the features you use. We do not sell personal information.

Browser storage and notifications

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect sign-in flows. Local and session storage keep preferences and cached workspace data. Enabling push stores a device subscription and label. Notification content may appear on your lock screen. You can revoke notification permission in your browser or device settings.

Retention and your choices

Workspace records and uploaded materials remain until removed through available controls or an account-data request. Disconnecting a provider does not automatically erase previously imported records. Operational records and backups may persist where needed for security, recovery, or legal obligations. To request access, correction, deletion, or information about retention, contact us below. We may verify your identity before acting.

Security, location, and updates

We use access controls and encrypted transport, but no system is guaranteed secure. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by our providers. Courseway is not directed to children under 13. We may revise this notice as the product changes and will identify the current effective date here.
